Waspu Oil for Pets is 100% owned by Mi’kmaq Commercial Fisheries (MCF). MCF is an independent, Indigenous company owned by the Qalipu First Nation (QFN).
Who we are
- Qalipu (Pronounced: ha-lee-boo, Meaning: Caribou)
- Qalipu First Nation is a vibrant Mi’kmaq First Nation established in 2011 as an Indigenous Band under the Indian Act. With a large membership spread across 67 traditional Newfoundland Mi’kmaq communities and abroad, we are one of the largest First Nation groups in Canada.
- Newfoundland is part of the traditional Mi’kmaq Nation whose territory extends from Quebec through the Maritime Provinces and into Newfoundland.
- Seal oil is composed of 3 fatty acids. DPA, EPA, and DHA. DPA has been proven to increase your pet’s absorption of EPA and DHA. Seal oil is made from 100% seal oil. No chemical additives. Quality product my dogs love! My young pup was suffering some sort of skin allergy so I wanted to try a different omega oil that was ideal for them biologically, affordable and less detrimental to the ocean balance… this seal oil fit the bill! His skin started clearing up within 1 week of use. Both my dogs have hydrated skin and soft shiney coats which I feel this oil has greatly attributed too. I’ll be buying more and keeping this oil as a staple in their daily diet.
